Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure inspected upgrading works carried out on Vaziani-Gombori-Telavi road section.

Project considers rehabilitation of 54 km long road section, which includes: construction-reconstruction of the carriageway, laying of reinforced–concrete pipes, provision of drainage system, construction of reinforced concrete retaining walls and bridges (two bridges).

Reconstruction of road network will promote integration of Georgian tourist routes into the international network. It should be mentioned, that travel time from Tbilisi to Telavi will be substantially decreased as a result of roads reconstruction. Considerable traffic flow moving towards Kakheti direction will be diverted to the respective road. Rehabilitation of Vaziani-Gombori-Telavi road section will improve social condition of the local population.
