Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, Chairman of Roads Department of Georgia has opened 6 km long section of Variani-Sakasheti local road in Shida Kartli region.

Cement-concrete pavement was constructed by application of German technology, average operating period of which lasts 30-35 years. Some new culverts were provided and old ones were rehabilitated.  Roadbed, ditches (drainage channels), artificial structures and storm water system was reinstated. Respective road will connect 12 villages to Gori - regional center.

Construction works were performed by Georgian Construction Company “Roads Construction Division No1”.  Value of works financed under the state budget amounts to 2 mln 868 thousand GEL.
