Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, Chairman of Roads Department of Georgia and Mr. Valeri  Chitaishvili, State Representative in Guria region, will conduct on-site monitoring of rehabilitation works related to 24,8 km long section of Ozurgeti-Ninoshvili-Lesa road (local) in Guria region.

Road rehabilitation works at mentioned section consider construction of a new asphalt-concrete pavement by means of German technology, average operational period of which is 30-35 years. New culverts will be arranged and old ones will be rehabilitated. Also, reinstatement of road bad, ditches (drainage channels), structures and drainage system will be provided. Currently, civil works related to drainage channels and road bad is underway.

Rehabilitation of road network will assist to creation of more comfortable traffic movement within the urban areas and will improve social conditions of the communities. It should be noted, that for the local villages, rehabilitated road will have a great importance in terms of economical development.

Rehabilitation works on respective road section are carried out by Georgian company “New Energy”. Value of works financed under the state budget amounts to 12 mln GEL.
