Meeting of Tender Commission related to the procurement of rehabilitation works for 10 km long section of secondary Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili road (km81- km90) was held at RD conference hall. Financial proposals, submitted by construction companies were opened at respective meeting.

Construction works on mentioned section considers construction of a new cement-concrete pavement with German technology, average operating period of which lasts 30-35 years. Artificial structures and new culverts will be provided on mentioned road section. Height of cement-concrete pavement is 22 cm, width of the carriageway is 7,5 m.

Rehabilitation of respective road section has a great importance for the development of economy and tourism potential in Svaneti region. Reconstruction of mentioned road will promote integration of Georgian tourist routes into the international network.
