Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, Chairman of Roads Department of Georgia will attend bridge opening over the river Tskhenistskali at 44 km of Kutaisi-Tskaltubo-Tsageri-Lentekhi-Lasdili road (secondary road), near the village Opitara in Racha-Lechkhumi region. Old bridge was dismantled and a new one was constructed on respective road section. 


Construction of a new, steel, 4 spans bridge over the river Tskhenistskali, which total length is 105 m, width is 6m, will promote to creation of uninterrupted and comfortable traffic movement within the urban areas as for heavy vehicles as well as for motor cars. Sidewalks and railings were provided for a newly constructed bridge. Asphalt-concrete pavement was applied on the carriageway; road signs and markings were done; reflective posts were installed at the bridge approaches; shore protection was carried out. 


The bridge has been in emergency condition during the years. For that reason, local communities were forced to use by-pass road. As a result of construction of respective bridge, local communities will not have to drive 40 km long section.


Georgian Construction Company “Khidi” executed construction works. Value of works financed under the state budget amounts to 3 mln 530 thousand GEL.
