Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, Chairman of Roads Department and Mr. Zaza Gorozia, State Representative in Samegrelo-Zemo (Upper) Svaneti region will attend opening of the bridge over the river Chanistskali. Respective bridge connects local roads to Khobi and Zugdidi (villages Sajijao and Narazeni). 

Because of non-existence of the bridge, bypass road was used for traffic movement in order to connect villages to the regional centers. Local communities were forced to drive more than 15 km road.

New reinforced concrete 12 spans bridge constructed over the river Tsivi, which total length is 220 m, width is 7 m, will promote to creation of uninterrupted and comfortable traffic movement within urban areas. In addition, it will facilitate to improve social conditions of the population. Sidewalks and railings were provided on the bridge, asphalt-concrete pavement was constructed on the carriageway, road signs and markings were arranged.

Construction works were performed by “Khidi” Ltd. Value of works financed under the state budget amounts to 2 mln. 656 thousand GEL.
