Chairman of Roads Department of Georgia Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili will inspect rehabilitation works at 1,5 km section of Chokhatauri-Zomleti road located in Guria region.

Road rehabilitation works at mentioned section consider construction of asphalt-concrete pavement (two-layer). It also considers restoration of structures, culverts (drainages), drainage system and installation of road signs. Works for asphalt-concrete pavement are already completed and works related to marking, arrangement of culverts and concrete parapets are ongoing.

1,5 km section of Chokhatauri-Zomleti section was neglected over the years. As to the full rehabilitation of mentioned section, it started in June of the current year. This section will make travelling easier for the population of villages located in Chokhatauri region(Gogolesubani, Shuaganaxleba, Ganaxleba, Sameba, Vani, Zomleti).

Works are being performed by Georgian company Ltd “Arkmsheni 2006”. Road rehabilitation works are financed under the state budget and the cost amounts to 590 000 GEL.
