Roads Department of Georgia will open 10 km long section of Vaziani-Gombori–Telavi  road.

As a result of roads reconstruction, travel time from Tbilisi to Telavi will be reduced. Traffic flow driving towards Kakheti direction will be diverted to the respective road. Roads reconstruction will promote to the development of regional infrastructure. While working on design, route, passing through densely populated areas, was selected among the alternative alignments in order to improve social conditions of local communities.

Rehabilitation works started in current year and are executed by Ltd “Mtkvari”. Rehabilitation works on the next 27 km will commence in September.

The goal of the project is creation of more comfortable traffic movement that will ensure improvement of social conditions for communities. Construction of mentioned road will provide employment generation for hundreds of Georgian citizens.
