Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, Chairman of Roads Department of Georgia, will conduct in Kakheti region on-site monitoring of rehabilitation works for 99 km long section of Akhmeta-Pshaveli-Kvareli-Ninigori secondary road.

Roads rehabilitation works for mentioned section considers construction of leveling layer and surface treatment. Also project stipulates restoration of artificial structures, ditches (drainage channels) and water drainage systems, provision of road signs and road markings.

Rehabilitation works commenced in current year and will be completed in 2010. Rehabilitation of about 70 km road section is planned within this year.  Price of the works financed by the World Bank amounts to 14 mln 500 thousand GEL. Rehabilitation works are executed by Ltd “Caucasavtomagistrali”.


Rehabilitation of mentioned road network will facilitate to the incensement of traffic capacity, to creation of comfortable traffic movement in densely populated areas and improvement of social condition of the population.
