Mr. David Tkeshelashvili, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure and Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, Chairman of Roads Department of Georgia will open 18, 3 km long section of secondary Martvili-Taleri-Chkhorotsku road in Samegrelo region.

 Road rehabilitation works for mentioned section considered construction of a new asphalt-concrete pavement (two layers) and foundation with recycling method. At the same time it stipulated restoration of artificial structures, gabions and storm water systems, also ensured road signs and road markings. Four overpasses were rehabilitated on 18, 3 km long section of secondary Martvili-Taleri-Chkhorotsku road.

In particular:

•    Bridge over the River Ochkhamuri – 21 m
•    Bridge of Atama Khevi – 14 m
•    Bridge over the River Shebe – 20 m
•    Bridge over the River Gau – 20m

Cost of rehabilitation works financed by the state budget amounts to 9 mln 975 thousand GEL. Rehabilitation works on mentioned section was performed by “Arqeopolisi” Ltd. 

Rehabilitation of mentioned road networks will increase traffic capacity on roads, create comfortable traffic movement in urban areas and improve social condition of the population.
