Asphalt pavement will be upgraded at Zahesi-Natakhtari section
10,73 km Zahesi-Natakhtari section of Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze International road starts from the exit of the capital city and ends at Natakhtari interchange; It represents a part of the main highway of the country. Respective section is characterized with high intensity of traffic flow, among them heavy trucks; therefore existing road pavement (upper layer of asphalt) is considerably damaged.
Zahesi-Natakhtari rehabilitation project considers: upgrading of upper layer of asphalt-concrete pavement, arrangement of culverts and structures, cleaning of ditches, repairing of existing reinforced-concrete pipes and retaining walls, installation of road signs and road marking; also, rehabilitation of existing overpass, 2 viaducts and 2 bridges.
Upgrading of wearing asphalt-concrete layer, treatment of damaged areas and cleaning of shoulders are progressing at Zahesi-Natakhtari section.
