Placing of concrete pavement will start at Ruisi-Agara section from October 23
Construction of Ruisi-Agara section is being implementing by “China Nuclear Industry” under the World Bank financing. “China Nuclear Industry” brought high technological concrete paving equipment and started testing of the machine at Ruisi road.
Deputy Chairman George Amashukeli inspected new machinery on site and attended the testing process.
At present, construction of structures and road base is actively progressing at 19 km long section, but placing of concrete pavement will start from October 23.
Arrangement of reinforced –concrete piles at overpasses No.1, No. 2 and No.3 (Ruisi and Kareli overpasses) is completed for today. Construction of pier bodies and cross-bars at overpasses No.1 and No. 2 is ongoing, but at overpasses No.3, arrangement of cross-bars and embankments at approaches is underway. At the same time, construction of culverts and 2 underpasses is completed at respective section, wherein arrangement of road bed is progressing.
