Davit Shavliashvili had a meeting with representatives of the World Bank

Chairman of Roads Department Davit Shavliashvili met with representatives of the World Bank mission. Members of the mission were Jean-Francois Marteau, WB project Task Team Leader and Mustapha Benmaamar, TTL;  Marinos Skempas, Senior Highway Engineer and Joseph Melitauri, TTL of SLRP II.  Parties discussed the progress of projects financed by the World Bank and details of the projects to be implemented under the Fourth East West Highway Improvement Project.

World Bank mission is in Georgia for several days and with representatives of the department carry out monitoring of ongoing projects. This mission is particularly important for Georgian side in terms of discussion of new project plans to be implemented under the Fourth East West Highway Improvement Project.  Detailed revision of mentioned plan and agreement of both parties is the necessary precondition for launching construction process of new sections of the highway.
