Davit Shavliashvili inspected rehabilitation works of the rock in the village  Lenjeri

Under monitoring process, Chairman of Roads Department Davit Shavliashvili and Deputy Chairman George Amashukeli inspected rehabilitation works of 2.5 km rock massive located along the village Lenjeri. Due to unstable rock and stone falling, the mountain, existing in the village Lenjeri at km135 of Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili road, has been created danger to local population and road users. Rocks falling from the mountain damaged land plots of the population.

Roads Department is implementing slope stabilization works in order to resolve the problem, thus will ensure safety for local population and road users.

Rehabilitation of 2.5 km rock mass considers construction of upper concrete retaining walls  for the slope and bottom concrete retaining walls for the road, build on concrete walls and covering with protective case. Currently, paving of concrete foundation, construction of reinforced-concrete upper retaining walls and protective walls of the gabion are underway. 

Rehabilitation works are performed by “Iberia Tech” Ltd and Georgian Alpinist Club. Cost of the works financed by the state budget amount to GEL 254,000.
