Rehabilitation of km6-km24 section of Shukureti-Usakhelo-Korbouli road

The project for rehabilitation of 18,40 km section of Shukureti-Usakhelo-Korbouli road considers construction of asphalt-concrete pavement and arrangement of ditches, rehabilitation of the existing 4 bridges, dismantling of 1 bridge and construction of the new one. Retaining gabions  and steel water pipes will be also constructed, entrances to the private yards and sidewalks will be repaired; new enclosed bus stop will be constructed.

At present the following works are underway: repair of deformed places, treatment of pavement, construction of soil ditches, gabions, culvert heads and asphalt-concrete pavement at junctions.

The project considers repair of reinforced-concrete bridges.

1. Bridge over the river Dumal with length 12 meters, width – 7 meters (it is planned to dismantle this bridge and construct the new one);

2. Bridge over the river Prone (chainage  26+26) with length  9 meters, width – 7,9;

3. Bridge over the stream (chainage 38+38) with length 9,5 meters, width – 7,5 meters;

4. Bridge over the river Rkviani (chainage 88+35) with length 9,5 meters, width – 7,5 meters;

5. Bridge over the stream (chainage 104+19) length 9,3 meters, width – 6,8 meters;

The works are performed by Kavkasavtomagistrali Ltd and Ibolia Ltd.

Works financed by the World Bank amount to  GEL 9,499,998 .

Rehabilitation works commenced on 27.07.2012 and will be completed on 27.12.2013.
