Traffic movement at Rikoti pass will be diverted to bypass road during 5 days 

Traffic movement shall be temporally restricted in Rikoti Tunnel and traffic would be diverted to bypass road due to the last stage of Rikoti Tunnel rehabilitation.

Respective traffic condition will continue for 5 days (with few days interval). Namely, movement shall be restricted in the tunnel and traffic would be diverted to bypass road on June 24-25 from 6:00 in the morning till 20:00 in the evening, but after five days interval – on July 1 from 6:00 in the morning till 23:00 of July 3. 

Works envisage: installation of power air cables, transformers and meters. Also, testing of new electrical units and connection of operable power network to permanent power-supply source.

Mentioned works shall enable full operation of ventilation and power supply systems.

Roads Department takes into consideration difficulties related bypass terrain, which creates inconvenience to transit and oversized vehicles and considers application of nightlong duty at two sections of the tunnel bypass road (east and west directions) during the traffic condition.

Contractor organizations shall ensure mobilization of hauling equipment at respective sections in order to provide assistance to oversized and transit vehicles (if necessary). Traffic movement shall be under direct supervision and coordination of the Patrol Police.
