Mr. Zakaria Khundzakishvili is conducting monitoring of road maintenance works

Mr. Zakaria Khundzakishvili, Chairman of Roads Department of Georgia, hold meeting at Kutaisi office with the Contractors, who has won in roads maintenance biddings.

Roads construction companies representing 15 zones of West Georgia in terms of road maintenance attended the meeting.

Chairman along with contractors reviewed the progress of spring maintenance works for roads and artificial structures.

At the meeting it was mentioned that the defects revealed on roads during the winter period shall be corrected promptly and in general, road maintenance works shall be performed in a timely manner, in compliance with schedule stipulated by agreement. This process will be monitored systematically by the Department.

It should be noted that pothole repairing, reinstatement of drainage system, updating of safety facilities, improvement of bridges and other structures is actively progressing throughout the whole country  due to the weather improvement.
