Today, the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili visited the town Gurjaani damaged by disaster, together with the governor of Kakheti Giorgi Gviniashvili. The Minister met with the affected population and inspected the damaged infrastructure. As a result of heavy rain and flood, two municipalities of Kakheti Gurjaani and Lagodekhi were damaged especially. The rural roads, bridges and agricultural plots were significantly damaged. Ground floors of houses were flooded; electricity and drinking water supply was limited. Relevant services of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure are working for elimination of the results of disaster during 24 hours. Ramaz Nikolaishvili has held the special meeting on which, the governors briefed about the situation in the municipalities. The Special Commission of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is mobilized on the place of disaster.
