The Prime - Minister Nika Gilauri has opened the event, and after it the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia has greeted auto road builders and has congratulated them the professional celebration. 

The final report of 2011, which describes the road projects implemented in current year, was presented on the event. The aim of the presentation was to deliver detail information about road infrastructure projects realized in 2011 to public.

 

The awarding ceremony of road builders was held as well. Motor Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia has implemented a lot of important projects successfully in 2011, among them: full rehabilitation of Rikoti Tunnel, Construction of the 2 tunnels with length 800 meters, road section with length 30 km on 15km road section Sveneti - Ruisi of the high-speed highway E-60, rehabilitation of 136km road section Zugdidi-Mestia and so on. 

The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili and the Chairman of the Motor Roads Department Mr. Mamuka lezhava have awarded the employees of companies working in road sector and the staff of the Auto Road Department for implementation the road-rehabilitation works successfully, and for the elimination of the consequences of the disaster on Rikoti pass in the earliest possible dates and with the high professional level. The winners in the nomination of The honorable road-builder, best road- builder, author of the best road project, the best- the construction company were handed the certificates and bronze sculptures of road-builder.
