Residents of 40 villages of Shida Kartli will be able to move by rehabilitated road. Today, the Minister of regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Mr. Ramz Nikolaishvili together with the President's Governor in Shida Kartli Mr. Giorgi Tatishvili has visited the rehabilitated works on 23 km road Kareli-Samtsverisi-Osiauri.

 

Kareli - Samtsverisi - Osiauri damaged road was creating transportation problems for the population of 40 villages placed along the road.  In this section of the road the drainage channels were arranged, artificial structures have been rehabilitated and three bridges have been reconstructed. At present the asphalt - concrete cover is being arranged on the road. The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure implements the project, funded by the World Bank. About 50 people are employed on the rehabilitation works, the most of whom are local residents.
