Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili has visited the current infrastructural projects and has met local residents in Akhaltskikhe, today, with president's attorney in Samtkshe-Javakheti region Lasha Chkadua.

 
A new road is being cut through Akhaltsikhe by the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure which creates possibility to implement car traffic without passing the railway passage.
 
Coast-protecting jobs are being in process of implementation on the bank of river Photskhovi. River Photskhovi has been endangering  to arable agricultural lands of residents and first floors of houses. The project will be finished in September and finally will be settled decade problems  of residents.
 
There was problem of drainage systems in the center of the city. Drainage pipe couldn't provide water handling. At the moment, new drainage channel is being constructed which resolves the mentioned problem.  Rehabilitation jobs are being realized on the one of the biggest Aspindza Street in Akhaltsikhe. Aspindza street residents will use a good set street instead of damaged one after finishing the rehabilitation works.
 
Besides, the section with length 5.3 km of the road Khashuri-Akhaltsikhe-Vale-Turkey border has been already finished. This section is one of the most important traffic units of Samtskhe-Javakheti region. The noted section of the road crosses checkpoint of the border of  Vale and it is the most significant project in terms of movement and turnover.
 
Local residents have been employed on every current and already finished infrastructural projects in Akhaltsikhe.
