Village Gachiani is fighting against natural disaster. Today, Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and Mr. Davit Kirkitadze, Governor of Kvemo Kartli region met with population, who suffered from natural disaster in the village Gachiani of Gardabani municipality. They also inspected ongoing shore protection works conducting along the river Mtkvari.  Nearly 1200 households live in the village Gachiani and at this stage 10 houses are in particularly bad condition.
In order to protect the village from water rise and avoid the danger, shore is strengthened by concrete structures thus will protect houses from scouring.  Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili made a decision on the spot and Roads Departments immediately started cleaning works along the right bank of the river Mtkvari. As a result, the river Mtkvari will return to old river-bad and the village will avert possible danger. Dwellers of 10 houses being in hazard are evacuated by that time. Machinery is mobilized in the village Gachiani, teams of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and other relevant services work on site during twenty-four-hour.
