Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Mr. Lasha Makatsaria, Governor of Imereti region and other representatives of local self-government have discussed project related to construction-modernization of Imereti bypass at Kutaisi office of Roads Department.

The visual material of 60 km long road in 3D format was shown at the meeting.  Specific and detailed information about design solutions and location of interchanges and bridges was provided to the Governor, Administrators and local self-government officials.

Respective road has a particular importance for Imereti region, since after completion of the project, Kutaisi, Samtredia and Zestafoni will be unloaded from transit traffic. Infrastructure will be developed and trade points will be built along the new road thus will promote to employment generation for local communities.
