The rehabilitation works are coming to the end on 15 km long Sveneti - Ruisi section of highway (the most important segment). The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili inspected rehabilitation works.
Construction of cement – concrete pavement on respective road section is nearing completion. Construction of two parallel overpasses (length 880 m) over the river Liakhvi is underway, also two 800 m long tunnels are constructing. At the same time, new bypass and bridge has been constructed, which will open in November. 470 persons are employed on the project and most of them are locals.
