Project description

Works for upgrading the highway between Zemo Osiauri and Chumateleti cover construction of 8.3 km 4-lane section bypassing Khashuri, including 13 bridges and 5 tunnels. Also,  reinforced concrete underpasses, culverts and drainage systems.  

Goal and importance of the project:

Construction of this section shall facilitate to increase road capacity, improve level of road safety, increase turnover of transit goods and reduce travel time. 

The main goal of modernization of highway in Georgia is to improve E-60  East-West highway and create relevant road infrastructure for the increased number of transit traffic. 

Bidding procedures are ongoing for now.
