Traffic at Khashuri bypass road, within Zemo Osiauri-Chumateleti project, a part of East-West highway (E-60), has been open in August of the current year. Out of mentioned 13km road, traffic at all four lanes has been open at 11.5km, movement was permissible only at two lanes at the remaining 1.5km.

Construction of existed road at 1.5km has been completed and traffic has been completely open at all four lanes of 13km.

Khashuri bypass road starts at the last section of Agara-Zemo Osiauri road and connects to the existed road at the new interchange of Surami. A 420m bridge, distinguished with the highest piers has been constructed at the mentioned section.

Khashuri bypass road will significantly relieve the city of Khashuri from traffic jams, and transit traffic will be fully conducted on the new road. Travel time via Khashuri bypass road will be reduced by 40-50% and will be available in 10 minutes instead of 20 minutes.
