For the ongoing rehabilitation works on the km0-km4 (Fridon Khalvashi Street) of the Batumi (Angisa)-Akhaltsikhe road, traffic is restricted and only one traffic lane is closed on the km3-km5 section (from Batumi to Akhaltsikhe), and light traffic from Akhaltsikhe to Batumi is moving one-way.

May 21, 2023 was set as the deadline for the works, however, due to bad weather, the works could not be completed within the specified time. In order to complete the works, the special traffic regime established on the km1-km3 and km3-km5 sections of the Batumi (Angisa)-Akhaltsikhe road will continue until June 4, 2023.

During the closure period, light vehicles moving from Akhaltsikhe in the direction of Batumi will drive through Machavariani street and the Senaki-Poti (Asakhemi)-Sarfi international road. Meanwhile, the light vehicle moving from Batumi in the direction of Akhaltsikhe will run from the 109th km of the Senaki-Foti (Asachemi)-Sarfi international road to Chorokhi and etc. through the streets of Shanidze and will be connected to the internal Batumi (Angisa)-Akhaltsikhe road at the 5th km.
