The Chairman of the Roads Department, Giorgi Tsereteli and his deputy, Pavle Gamkrelidze, got acquainted with the completed and current projects in the Kvemo Kartli region.

In the Kvemo Kartli region in 2022, 22 projects were underway, the total value of which was 114.3 million lari, from which 11 projects were completed, rehabilitation-periodic repair of up to 60 km of road was carried out, 2 bridges were rehabilitated, 1 embankment and 1 disaster prevention and liquidation project was implemented.

Among them, the 5 km section of the Tetritskaro-Dagheti-Topani-Bolnisi road, the 5.4 km section of the Tbilisi (Veli)-Gachiani-Rustavi secondary road connecting Norio-Lilo and Shulaveri-Shaumiani-Zion were rehabilitated. - the 6 km section of Piranakvi road.

Work on the rest of the projects is actively continuing and their rehabilitation will be completed in 2023. The rehabilitation of such important road sections as: 16 km section of Marneuli-Tetritskaro-Tsalki road, 15 km section of Fonichala-Marneuli-Guguti road and 8.6 of Imera-Bareti-Tejisi-Chivtkilisa-Khachkoi-Gumbati-Avranlos road km section.

In 2023, the Roads Department will actively continue the rehabilitation works of roads  and bridges in the Kvemo Kartli region.
