The construction of the third section of the Samtredia-Grigoleti road of the East-West E60 expressway begins.

The agreement was signed and signed by the Deputy Chairman of the Department of Roads of Georgia, Salome Tsurtsumia, and the representative of the company "Hunan Road & Bridge Construction Group Co Ltd", the winner of the international tender - Vincent Ma-Jin.

The construction of the 12-kilometer section of the Samtredia-Grigoleti road (lot 3) is financed by the European Investment Bank. The project envisages the construction of a 4-lane asphalt-concrete road, 6 bridge crossings, 2 traffic junctions, goods and field exits. The mentioned section of the road in Guria region It will pass through the villages of Lanchkhuti and Lanchkhuti municipality.

The Samtredia-Grigoleti road, which consists of a total of 52 km, starts at the Ochofa river at the 42nd km of the Zestafoni-Kutaisi bypass-Samtredia road and ends at the Supsa river in the Grigoleti area. The project of modernization of the mentioned road into a high-speed road is implemented in 4 sections (lots). The second - Japana-Lanchkhuti section of the Samtredia-Grigoleti road is already in operation, while the first and fourth sections are planned to be completed by the end of this year.

The goal of the project is to ensure the capacity of increasing traffic flows, safe movement of vehicles and smooth transit traffic on the international road with the highest intensity throughout the country.

The implementation period of the Samtredia-Grigoleti third section construction project is 2 years and the contractual value of the works is 324.6 million. It amounts to GEL.
