The Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is launching the rehabilitation of a 7-kilometer secondary road accessing to the Betania Church.

In order to improve traffic safety on the 7 km length road, it is planned to widen the existing road with 18 cm thick cement-concrete pavement, and partly on high slopes with basalt paving stone. The project will also include reinforced concrete round pipes, open reinforced concrete pipes and a stone-paved concrete ditch.

As a result of the rehabilitation of the access road to Betania Church, movement on the updated road will be more safe and comfortable.

The contract with the rehabilitation works executer company was signed on September 6.

The total cost of the road rehabilitation project to Betania Monastery is 5.9 million GEL.
