According to Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, avalanche hazards mode has been lifted at Gudauri-Kobi section and as a result of conducted cleaning works, traffic has been resumed for light vehicles.Currently, due to snow, glaze ice and low temperature, traffic at Gudauri (Posta)-Kobi section of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi (border of the Russian Federation) international road is restricted for trailers and semi-trailers, while the movement is free for other means of transport. Pursuant to National Environment Agency, nonstop driving is allowed at Gudauri (Posta)–Kobi section, only through avalanche galleries.Unidirectional traffic mode will be applied for trailers, semi-trailers and buses with more than 30 seats in a
valanche galleries.Mentioned traffic mode will be enforced under direct supervision and coordination of the Patrol Police.
