According to Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, due to heavy snow and avalanche hazards, traffic at km171-km186 (Kala-Ushguli) section of Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili secondary road is restricted for trailers, semi-trailers and buses with more than 30 seats. Movement is free for the remaining transport means by application of anti-skid chains.
No restrictions are applicable for tandem-drive vehicles.
