According to the Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, road cleaning works at Gudauri-Kobi section of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi road, both from Gudauri and Kobi sides, have been intensively ongoing for the second day.
The main part of the road has already been cleared, only 3 kilometers remain (km99-km101), where the avalanche danger still persists at km101 and impedes commencement of cleaning works on the mentioned one kilometer. According to the National Environment Agency, road cleaning works on the mentioned section will start as soon as the avalanche danger is lifted, in order to restore the traffic in the shortest possible time.

We would like to remind you that due to avalanche danger, traffic at Gudauri-Kobi section has been restricted since January 11.
