Some media sources are distributing unverified and false information regarding rehabilitation of the streets in the city of Kutaisi. 

Roads Department has started rehabilitation of 32 streets in Kutaisi from August 2020. Out of them, the complete rehabilitation works at the two central streets – Aghmashenebeli and Tsereteli started in September 2020. The works are scheduled to be completed in spring 2021.

In addition to road infrastructure, drainage system will be completely upgraded on the streets. The works are already completed at 10 streets of the city.

Rehabilitation project of the streets envisages asphalt-concrete pavement, development of artificial structures, and arrangement of culverts, curbs, sidewalks and traffic signs. Total length for 29 streets to be rehabilitated is over 10km.

Completion of the project will provide safe and comfortable movement.

Roads Department is actively cooperating with the representatives of mass media and is always readily available to respond their questions in order to verify information.
