According to Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, due to heavy snow, low temperature and avalanche hazard, traffic at Gudauri (Posta)-Kobi section of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi (border of the Russian Federation) international road is forbidden for all mode of transport. 
Movement is free at the remaining sections of the road.
