Due to adverse weather conditions (snow and glaze ice), traffic at km34-km53 (Chkhakaura-Bakhmaro) section of Chokhatauri-Bakhmaro secondary road, has been restricted for all transport means since November 18, 2020.  (https://bit.ly/3nQKNkm).  Like the previous years, season-related restrictions are imposed on this road section, and restriction will be lifted in spring, depending upon the weather change.

Despite the fact that information about traffic restrictions was disseminated through the media on November 18 and restriction signs and barriers were arranged at the relevant road section, visitors have violated the rules and willfully used the closed road. 

For now, Roads Department has mobilized relevant machinery and commenced road cleaning works in order to help people, who has willfully entered the territory of Bakhmaro during the last 2 days despite the traffic restrictions. Road cleaning works have been continued during the whole night.

Roads Department of Georgia calls for all visitors and tourists to comply with established restrictions and rules for the sake of their safety and security in order to avoid possible complications.
