Reconstruction of 50km Dzirula-Kharagauli-Moliti-Pona-Chumateleti road is intensively ongoing. The project consists of two sections, each of them 25km. Pavement works and arrangement of artificial structures are currently underway at the mentioned section.

The project envisages development of asphalt-concrete pavement, rehabilitation-reconstruction of bridges, drainage pipes and ditches, construction of retaining walls, road marking and arrangement of safety barriers. 

The mentioned section is connecting Kharagauli Municipality with E-60 highway. The road passes along the rivers Chkherimela and Dzirula and also Khashuri-Kharagauli-Zestaponi railway. Local population had movement related problems for years. As a result of the road rehabilitation, up to 23,000 people living in Kharagauli Municipality and up to 7,000 people living in 13 villages located near the road will improve their transportation conditions and will be able to move safely and comfortably.

The project worth GEL 105 million is financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
