Rehabilitation of 13 km long Ponichala-Marneuli-Guguti road is at completion stage. For the time being, the main works are at the final stage and arrangement of road signs are underway.

The rehabilitated section is located in Kvemo Kartli region of Dmanisi Municipality. Ponichala-Marneuli-Guguti road is passing through Bolnisi and connects the region to the North-West part of Armenia with the shortest route. Consequently, the proper functioning of this road is of great importance for insurance of smooth transit traffic.

The existing road was damaged and required full rehabilitation.  Road technical parameters were improved, structures were rehabilitated, road pavement was arranged and modern traffic safety equipment were installed in compliance with the project. Road rehabilitation will significantly contribute to the rational use of the region’s economic potential.

The project was financed from the state budget with GEL 13,4 Mio.

At this stage, rehabilitation of 1 bridge and construction of 2 new bridges are underway.
