The international tender for the rehabilitation-reconstruction of the Khulo-Zarzma road was re-announced after the contract with the contractor Todini was terminated due to default on obligations, and the state received about GEL 10 million as a result of the performance bank guarantees.

Upgraded Khulo-Zarzma road, which is of strategic importance for the region, will connect Samtskhe-Javakheti and Adjara regions with a shortest route. Rehabilitated section will start from borough Khulo and end at Zarzma village of Adigeni, by passing through Goderdzi pass.
