Roads Department has started conducting rehabilitation works at 1.8km David Aghmashenebeli Secondary Street in the city of Lanchkhuti.

David Aghmashenebeli Street begins in the central part of the city. The street reaches suburban and connects to the all-round square of the interchange of Samtredia-Grigoleti highway, which is currently under construction.

An existed road was heavily damaged and in fact amortized. In order to solve the problem, the rehabilitation project will include expansion and rehabilitation of the roadbed and the carriageway, asphalt-concrete pavement, rehabilitation of artificial structures and construction of the new ones.  Reconstruction and arrangement of junctions and entrances to the yards of the population is envisaged. The project envisages arrangement of sidewalks, metal guard rail, concrete ditches and foot trails. Road signs will be installed and marking of the carriageway arranged which will significantly improve the safety both for the drivers and pedestrians. 

The works, worth GEL 2943 775 are funded from the state budget. The project is scheduled to be completed for the end of the summer 2020.
