First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Chairman of Roads Department, Irakli Karseladze hosted the heads of the companies working on large infrastructure projects.

The main topic of the meeting was the fulfillment of the special recommendations developed in cooperation with the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health in order to prevent the spread of the new Corona virus, in accordance with the instructions of the Prime Minister-led Interagency Council and the Ministry of Health.

“Today, we have met with representatives of companies working on mega-projects, heard from them about how companies are implementing their newly established recommendations, and talked about the existed and expected challenges caused by a new Corona virus infection. We have also discussed the requirements of companies in this regard, in the elimination of which the state will be actively involved,”said Karseladze.

Infrastructure projects are carried out in accordance with the schedule and the works will not be stopped. As Karseladze noted, within the frames of the meeting the issue of future development of projects was discussed in detail and the works will continue without preclusion.
