Chinese companies provided information about quarantine conditions

Officials of Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and representative of the Ministry of Health met with the representatives of Chinese companies, which are implementing road construction projects on various road sections. Companies reported on how they meet recommendations and advice given by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ministry of Health in relation to virus prevention and quarantine measures. 

 

“Today we received detailed information from the companies on how they fulfill all necessary recommendations to prevent decease. We asked the Ministry of Health to enforce monitoring, based on which conclusion will be prepared.  Meanwhile, we requested from Chinese companies to refrain from bringing Chinese residents on the territory of Georgia” - stated Mr.Irakli Karseladze, Chairman of Roads Department.

Decision was taken at the meeting that the Ministry of Health will elaborate individual recommendations for the companies based on in-depth study and will carry out additional monitoring on enforcement of recommendations in order to ensure that all prevention rules are fully complied.  

“We received information about quarantine and management of the disease. We have already decided to create additional groups by engagement of the representatives of the Ministry of Health; those   groups will study the situation in place and issue relevant recommendations” – declared Mrs. Eka Goliadze, Head of LEPL Emergency Situations Coordination and Urgent Assistance Center.
