International bidding announced for construction of Lot2 of Zemo Osiauri-Chumateleti road. Project considers construction of 4-lane 6.4 km long road, 11 bridges and 5 tunnels on the mentioned road section. Project will be financed by the World Bank. Works implementation period - 27 months. Electronic submission of bids starts from March 21 until March 25. Zemo Osiauri-Chumateleti road runs up to Rikoti tunnel. The road will bypass Khashuri, Surami, Chumateleti from the north and reach the Rikoti tunnel. This is one of the most complicated sections and includes several tunnels and bridges.  Project considers construction of four-lane cement-concrete road, 21 bridges, five tunnels, reinforced concrete underpasses, culverts and drainage systems. Currently, construction works are actively ongoing on Lot 1 and 13km long Khashuri bypass road will open this year.
