According to Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, due to conducted cleaning works, traffic at Nakerala pass has been resumed for trailers and semi-trailers. Currently, traffic at Kutaisi (Motsameta)-Tkibuli-Ambrolauri secondary road is free for all means of transport.

Traffic at Kala-Ushguli Section Resumed for Off-road Vehicles

According to Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, due to conducted cleaning works, traffic at Kala-Ushguli section has been resumed for off-road vehicles. Restrictions remain active at km186-km198 (Ushguli-Lasdili) section of Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili secondary road because of avalanche hazard and heavy snow.

In addition, due to snowfall and glaze-ice, movement at km30-km186 (Jvari-Ushguli) is restricted for trailers, semi-trailers and buses with more than 30 seats. Movement for the remaining means of transport is permissible by application of anti-slip chains. Traffic is free for 4WD vehicles.

Traffic is free at km1-km30 (Zugdidi-Jvari) section of the mentioned road.
