According to Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, due to heavy snow and avalanche hazards, traffic at km186-km198 (Ushguli-Lasdili) section of Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili secondary road is restricted for all means of transport.

Due to snow, movement at km138-km186 (Mestia-Ushguli) is restricted for trailers, semi-trailers and buses with more than 30 seats. Traffic is free for the remaining transport means only by application of antiskid chains. Movement is free for two and more axle vehicles.

Km1-km138 (Zugdidi-Mestia) section is free for traffic.
