Rehabilitation of over 11km Tsitsamuri-Saguramo-Tskhvarichamia secondary road has been completed. The project was divided into two sections. Works are already completed at one section and only minor works are remained at the second one, which will be completed soon.   

An upgrade of Tsitsamuri-Saguramo-Tskhvarichamia secondary road is of significant importance both for the local population and for the development of tourism infrastructure.

The section to be rehabilitated was severely damaged, and the existing asphalt-concrete pavement was maintained only fractionally and the rest of the road was graveled. Asphalt-concrete pavements, artificial structures, access to local roads and road signs were arranged for comfortable and safe movement on the road. Road delineation and horizontal marking are also being implemented.

Project worth GEL 7.3 million is financed from the state budget.

Rehabilitation of 6km Section of Khashuri-Akhaltsikhe-Vale Near Completion

Rehabilitation of 6km section of Khashuri-Akhaltsikhe-Vale is at the completion stage. A road to be rehabilitated passes through Borjomi municipality in the populated area.

The existing road was damaged and poor, which prevented high-intensity traffic. As part of the rehabilitation project, the structure of the carriageway and road parameters were improved, asphalt-concrete paved and damaged artificial structures were rehabilitated. Traffic signs are arranged and road markings are carried out to ensure road safety and the ideal orientation of drivers on the road.

Project worth GEL 6 078 915million is financed from the state budget. The works were commenced in April and will be completed until the end of the year.
