Irakli Karseladze Participated in Tbilisi Silk Road Forum

Within the framework of the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum, an event, organized by the European Investment Bank (EIB) is being held at the Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel.

Irakli Karseladze, the First Deputy Minister at Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Chairman of Roads Department, made a speech and emphasized an importance of Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) and its contribution to economic growth, long-term stability and sustainable development of the region. A panel discussion - Connecting to Europe – The Development of the extended TEN-T – was organized by the EIB.

Road safety issues on highways and digital solutions were also among the topics for discussions. 

The purpose of the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum is to create and establish a discussion platform where representatives of the Silk Road initiator countries, international organizations and the private sector consider prospects for deepening cooperation and links in international and regional trade.

This year’s Tbilisi Silk Road Forum hosted about 2,000 participants, from more than 60 countries, including representatives of more than 30 delegations and over 400 international private sector.
