Roads Department of Georgia completed rehabilitation of 2km long Gugunava Street in Kutaisi. By now rehabilitation works are ongoing on the following streets: 1,4 km long Javakhishvili street, 0.3 km long Shartava street, 0,7 km long Bukhaidze street, 1.3 km long Ninoshvili and 2.7km long street connecting Nikea Street and Sulkhan-Saba avenue. Total cost of the mentioned projects amount to GEL 12 899 400.
Irakli Karseladze, First Deputy Minister of the Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Chairman of the Roads Department of Georgia, inspected ongoing and completed works.
Based on the Decree of Georgian Government, Roads Department additionally will implement rehabilitation of four more streets. At this stage, review of design documentation of those projects is underway. Rehabilitation works would be performed at 3 km long section of Aghmashenebeli Street, 2.8 km long section of Tsereteli Street, 1,5 km long section of Liberty Street and 0.3 km long section of Saiatnova street. Total estimated cost of the planned projects amount to GEL 13.5 MIO.
Kutaisi streets rehabilitation project envisages construction of asphalt-concrete pavement, rehabilitation of artificial structures, arrangement of culverts, curbs, sidewalks and road signs. As a result of rehabilitation, existing problems will be solved, road users and local population will be able to travel on an upgraded and comfortable road.
Roads Department of Georgia totally will rehabilitate 10 streets in Kutaisi.
