Roads Department is conducting rehabilitation of Dzirula-Moliti 25km road section. The mentioned section is a part of Dzirula-Kharagauli-Moliti-Pona-Chumateleti 50km road. Levan Kupatashvili, Deputy Chairman of Roads Department have inspected ongoing works. Mobilization works and cleanup activities have been also commenced at the second section of the mentioned road, 25km Moliti-Chumateleti road.

Rehabilitation of Dzirula-Kharagauli-Moliti-Pona-Chumateleti envisages arrangement of asphalt pavement; rehabilitation-reconstruction of bridges, road drainage pipes, ditches; construction of retaining walls; road marking and installation of safety guardrails.

This road section connects Kharagauli municipality to E-60 Highway. The project goes along the river Chkherimela as well as Khashuri-Kharagauli-Zestaponi railway lane. Local population has suffered the problem of movement on this road for years. After modernization of the road, traffic conditions will be improved and become safe for up to 23 000 residents living in Kharagauli municipality and up to 7 000 residents living in 13 villages located adjacent to the road.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) finances the project. Black Sea Group conducts rehabilitation works of 25km Dzirula-Moliti section. The project, worth GEL 51 467 681, is planned to be completed for September 2020.
