Representatives of the Roads Department of Georgia held a meeting with 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th grades pupils of Kharagauli municipality, in the frames of Dzirula-Kharagauli-Moliti-Pona-Chumateti road rehabilitation project. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Roads Department of Georgia, Giorgi Tsibadze, Chairman of the non-governmental organization Georgia Alliance for Safe Roads, Eka Laliashvili, Deputy Mayor of Kharagauli Municipality, Temur Chkheidze and Chairman of Education, Culture and Youth Affairs Commission of Kharagauli local assembly, Davit Kiknadze.
Together with the acquaintance of the Dzirula-Kharagauli-Moliti-Pona-Chumateli connecting road rehabilitation project, the presentation was made to the following topics: Road Planning, Road Safety and Gender Equality.
At the end of the meeting, the pupils asked questions related to the topics and received appropriate answers.
The Roads Department will continue arranging such meetings with public school pupils to deliver information about its activities and increase awareness regarding road safety, and activities implemented by the Department in the gender equity context.
